I’m Meg, a Northern based multi-disciplinary creative. After gaining a wealth of experience over the last decade working in various agencies, leading teams and collaborating globally – I’ve realised what I love doing the most. Which is working with small teams and individuals on a local level who are pursuing dreams of their own. For them, creating and promoting a brand is essential but expensive. With the ability to offer strategy, design and copywriting I can help you get your ideas off the ground and into the real world. For me, it’s fulfilling work that brings more life and vibrancy to the city I fell in love with.

This won’t be an overkill 30+ slide deck, the strategy I offer is streamlined and built-in, focusing on how your brand or project will behave in the real world and how to maximise its impact on your audience.
→ Brand narrative
→ Social media planning
→ Campaign strategy -
I design from the heart, because your audience will invest from theirs, using a mixture psychology and visual skillsets to create something that can connect on an emotive level.
→ Branding
→ Social assets
→ Print collateral
→ Packaging
→ Signage
→ Exhibitions & events
→ Web design -
Copywriting is conversation, I take the time to create or learn the personality of your brand and replicate how it would speak with your audience – in a way which leaves them wanting more to talk about.
→ Tone of voice
→ Brand messaging
→ Campaign messaging
→ Social content -
Once our project together is complete, you can choose to opt in for continued support in order to keep it alive and kicking. This could look like a retainer of agreed hours per month for things such as social media content and creation, or drop-in projects every so often such as seasonal menus.

FAQs

I love to get to know my clients really well, taking the time to have a coffee or video call to understand you and your project. From there it's all about communication where it matters, I'll let you know updates on the regular and I'll reach out if any issues (none so far) occur. Once the project is done and dusted, I like to check in to see how it's all going and make sure your dream is growing legs.

I’m flexible with time, and with enough notice I can be available during weekends for anything with a quick turnaround. Essentially, I can work to your needs within reason, all it takes is an honest chat.
-
I value an honest and transparent payment process. I’d start with quoting for your project after learning enough about it, this would be a fixed price unless the scope of work changes outside of what has been agreed upfront. If I feel the project is going that way, I would let you know, we can always work something out from there. I require payment within 8 weeks after the project is completed, and with the trust we’re sure to build, I’d hope you’d honour this.

Agencies are expensive, and they don’t tend to take on the smaller jobs with smaller budgets – it’s not really work that keeps them going. As a single person powerhouse with a wealth of experience and expertise, you can get the agency quality for a price you can afford (without too many cooks in the kitchen). For me, you’re not just a job or a number, you’re a real person I’d love to get to know and see succeed, that’s what gives my work purpose – it’s what I’m passionate about.

Of course. Some projects may need a combination my expertise with another’s, whether it’s creating an animation, a short film or custom-built website. Luckily, I’m well connected and have many friends within the industry who are at the top of their own game. After learning about your needs, I’d highlight whether we’d need to bring someone else into the mix and what this would look like for you – no smoke, no mirrors.
Amazing clients, now great mates.

I don’t know who you are. I don’t know what you want. If you are looking for a bail out I can tell you I don’t have money, but what I do have is Meg. What Meg does have is a very particular set of skills. Skills she has acquired over a very long career. Skills that make her a dream for people like you. If you hire Meg now, that’ll be the end of it. I will not look for you, I will not pursue you, but if you don’t, I will look for you, I will find you and I will kill you.
Idle threats and brazen plagiarism aside, Meg is the realest of deals. She is a ‘hen’s teeth’ kind of designer. Not just a design wizard (or witch) she is also a tremendously talented conceptual creative and an exceptional Art Director. I had the enormous pleasure of working with Meg in a ‘creative dynamic duo’ and she is certainly something special. Nearly as good as me but not quite, she would be the first name on my team sheet for any project that requires dazzling design, inspired thinking and meticulous attention to detail. Meg doesn’t have hands, she has wands and she has all her own teeth.

Senior Conceptual Copywriter @Refinery
Meg is one of those designers that is just a joy to work with. Takes a brief and really delivers against it, going above and beyond to not only meet but exceed expectations. Not afraid to challenge and push back, shes’s committed to the job and whatever it takes to get it done. I’ve been lucky to work with her on a number of projects, of varying sizes, scope and budgets and she’s never failed to amaze me.
