Breww: From rough draft to final pour.

Breww came to Stratos—where I led as Head of Creative—with the charm, the chops, and a logo people recognised, but the brand itself felt more “first draft” than “final pour.” Built quickly to get off the ground, it was missing a few key ingredients: clarity, consistency, and a true sense of identity.

Rather than tossing the keg with the tap water, I kept the good stuff and refined it, aligning the brand with a new narrative that celebrated what Breww really is: software and community that connects. This led to a distinctive pipe-based design system, versatile, connective and flexible in both static and motion formats.

I paired this with a more refined colour palette, bold typography for punch and readability, and a scalable set of brand assets that kept Breww’s personality front and centre. The result? A brand that finally feels like Breww always should have: confident, characterful and perfectly brewed

Breww’s old illustration style was flat and a little… stale. I brewed up a fresher look that’s bursting with colour and personality, better reflecting the vibrant world of craft brewing. To make the style feel inclusive without singling anyone out, I used a neutral, unconventional skin tone for every character, then brought individuality to life through details, think diverse hairstyles, body shapes, abilities and more. The result? A lively, welcoming visual style that speaks to everyone.

The photography style digs beneath the surface of brewing, not the polished taproom glamour, but the grit, craft, and quiet obsession that fuel the process. It shines a light on the overlooked details that insiders cherish and outsiders often miss, capturing the true heart of the industry.
